Kaleb Rashad, Ed.D. is a creative school designer focused on creating the next generation of schools that are deeply human and design-conscious. Kaleb has served in a wide range of leadership roles in both public and independent schools, at the high school, middle school, and elementary levels. He currently serves as the Director of High Tech High in San Diego. Kaleb is an active contributor to conversations about the future of teaching and learning wherever they happen, including speaking and facilitating at conferences such as SxSWEdu, FutureNOW, and at Stanford University's d.School, among others. He also co-created and hosted Design Camp, a summit of educators interested in sharing their experiences using design thinking in schools in several capacities, and he serves as the San Diego coach and "instigator" for the d.School's School Retool project. Kaleb earned his B.A. in Human Development, two master's degrees in Teaching and Educational Administration, as well as an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, all from Asuza Pacific University.
Kaleb believes school should be a place where you discover who you are, understand your connection to others, and realize how you might be of service to others. He is highly experienced in developing trust-rich, dynamic cultures of respect, risk-taking, and progress. Leadership+Design is thrilled to have Kaleb join the team facilitating 4D Studio.
