UnMastered is an intensive four week summer program that is deliberately not a master's program. Your cohort will experience 4 collaborative challenges over 4 weeks, each one increasing in complexity. Participants will build skills in collaborative and healthy group life, anthropology, design thinking, decision-making, futurist thinking, movement starting, and influencing for change. You will also have the chance to unpack the learnings and "unlearnings" from the transition to remote learning.
Week 1: Looking Backward and Leading Forward: Learnings from 2020, Futurist Mindsets and Collaborative Skills
Week 2: You as Change Agent, Influencer, and Visionary
Week 3: Designing and Hacking for Lasting Impact
Week 4: What Next? Launching into Fall 2020 & Beyond
UnMastered is an online experience that runs in both synchronous and asynchronous capacities. Some of these projects are place-based and offline, asking you to connect with individuals in your community. Some of these projects are with a cohort within UnMastered. You should expect to spend 10 hours a week on UnMastered.
We offer this program during the summer when educators have some space and time to dig in and plan the impact they aim to have in the fall. At the same time, it is feasible to also balance this with family time and summer vacation as long as you have access to the internet.
