Truth Seeking Pod Where being accurate is better than being right.
What is a Truth Seeking Pod?
As we have worked with leaders from all over the country and world, we have found one common theme: Leaders seek truth. We want feedback, we want to know our impact, we want to learn. In a busy and polarized world, this truth seeking is often met with fear, resistance and a careful partisanship that creates a barrier to learning.
Enter L+D's Truth Seeking Pods.
Small groups of like-minded, although not confirmatory, leaders willing to explore with each other in search of truth. Build relationships and trust over a months long partnership to challenge oneself and one another to see things differently and to act into a new way of being.
Pods of five leaders gather weekly (90 minutes) via Zoom (Video conferencing) for a total of three months. Each truth-seeking pod is an opportunity to ask the important questions: What could I have done differently?Where am I wrong? What are all the ways I could view this situation differently? What am I missing?
By exploring these simple, yet powerful questions and following intentionally designed protocols in a group of like minded truth seekers, participants will have the opportunity to learn more, explore further, and ultimately grow and evolve in their work as leaders.
Fall Pods will Start the Week of September 14th and run through December 20th (Pods will self-schedule 10-12-90 minute sessions with an L+D Facilitator between those dates)

While the concept of a Truth-Seeking Pod is inspired by the work of Annie Duke, author of the book, Thinking in Bets: Making Smarter Decisions when you Don't have all the Facts, the pedagogy, protocols and skills have been developed by the Leadership + Design partners. The secret sauce is the people themselves that choose to go beyond traditional feedback to learn more, and the protocols and experiences that L+D designs help to facilitate connections, conversation and capacity.
T Group Protocol: T-Groups were developed in the late 1940's and early 1950's and the T in T-Group stands for training. This methodology is experiential, and participants are invited to learn about how they show up in a group by being in a group. This direct method of inquiry and discussion quickly dissolves walls and allows participants to learn quickly about the ways they succeed and fail in an interpersonal setting. This pedagogy is taught all over the world, and it is the both central and signature at Stanford's Graduate School of Business.
As with anything that L+D creates, a Truth-Seeking Pod is deeply human, intentionally designed and invites both deep thinking and deep feeling. If this both excites and scares you, then that is confirmation that you are human. Congrats, that is required to sign up.
