L+D Learning Studios are an opportunity for individuals to learn from the toolkit we use with schools in our service areas.
Learning Studios are on hold for 2020-2021 based on feedback about shifting needs as schools navigate COVID. They will be back in 2021-2022!
All Learning Studios will meet synchronously on Thursdays at 10am PST/1pm EST, in addition to an hour or so of weekly asynchronous work - and ongoing access to a dedicated Slack channel for participants.
Registration is $499 for the public, or $424 for members of L+Doers Unite.
Building Teams
Our Learning Studio in Team and Culture Building is “Building Teams.” This experience is for leaders who want to build the skills, frameworks, and practice to reboot their teams.
As 2020 comes to a close, we must take stock of the change we have lived through. Schools have changed, and this change has taken a toll on the people that make school special. Now is a great time to go back to the basics, and explore the best practices and strategies to build a high functioning team. Great teams are built, they do not just happen: this Learning Studio is focused on giving leaders the tools to build deeper connections, a more resilient mindset, and a culture of joy in the face of uncertainty.
Futurist Strategy

Our Learning Studio in Strategy is “Futurist Strategy.” This experience is for leaders who want to build their strategic capacity, bringing that lens to all of their work.
For futurists, the current landscape is hardly surprising. While futurists don’t predict the future, they do use tools to consider what is possible for the future, discern what is most probable, and then, when possible, try to design to what is preferable. Over this four touch learning studio, we will learn and practice the habits and mindsets of futurists and gain some frameworks for making strategic decisions in what feels like uncertain times, but may be less ambiguous than you think. We won’t learn to read the tea leaves, but we will learn how to look for signals that are everywhere (when you know what to look for) and also practice studying fringe trends and extreme users in our own school communities and cities. This learning studio is hands-on and practical for school leaders who are facing big decisions about the future of their school. Board Chair and Head of School partnerships are also encouraged.
