Reflect. Renew. Connect.

Santa Fe Seminar is Back! November 7-9, 2024

It’s time for a new kind of school leader – one who embraces high levels of ambiguity and flexibility and insources their agency and approval.  The Santa Fe Seminar is the time and place for you to reflect on the kind of leader you are today and how you might design your learning and reflection towards more authenticity, groundedness, and connection to yourself and others.

The most successful leaders take time away from tasks and the busyness of their daily lives to first and foremost reflect–and to ask and answer important questions, to share their stories with others, and to envision the future.

This place-based learning experience, held in the inspirational setting of Santa Fe, NM, provides  time and space for school leaders to engage in spirited dialogue with like-minded colleagues,  to write, and to explore these and other questions:

  • Why have I chosen the path of leading in schools?

  • How have the past three years impacted my leadership journey?  What did I learn, and how will I use that learning?

  • How might I lead more intentionally and from a place that is most authentic to who I am?

  • How might I deepen the relationships with my colleagues, partners, and collaborators?

  • How do I want to respond to the emotions that get projected on me as a leader? How might I work through challenging situations I have held onto and need to reconcile/unpack/put to rest?

  • How might I sustain and even enhance my capacity to lead effectively, joyfully and passionately over my career?

  • What am I holding onto in my mind and my body?  Is holding on serving me?

  • Am I being and leading from a place that is authentic, and is this translating to seeing  circumstances as opportunities in service of my growth? Or do I see the world as a barrier that is impeding my growth and happiness in my job?

Past participants have expressed feeling renewed, reconnected to self,  rejuvenated, and armed with a new readiness to tackle leadership challenges with increased self-awareness, tools and energy.

Why Santa Fe?

This setting in Santa Fe is being provided to enhance the creativity, inspiration and expansive thinking that are prerequisites for outstanding leadership.  Just as the school environment is a critical component in the education of children, the location for these conferences offers surroundings conducive to openness, the free exchange of ideas and a healthy discourse among committed professionals.

There will be time built into the seminar for participants to enjoy Santa Fe on their own, with their fellow participants, or with their partners or spouses.

We allow time for groups and individuals to explore the city of Santa Fe and the surrounding areas as well as meet one-on-one with facilitators.
